A la fois tentative risquée, chef d’œuvre et manifeste, Licht est un bel exemple de la démarche radicale, collective, exigeante et disciplinée des meilleures productions d’Ernesto Rodrigues. Divisée en sept parties intitulées I- VII, Licht est un beau chemin vers la lumière (Licht en allemand). Un travail à la fois intense au niveau des techniques alternatives et parcimonieux, sorte de pointillisme hyper-mesuré parfois au bord du silence. Les quatre premières parties de cinq ou trois minutes consistent en une série d’approches pour découvrir le domaine sonore et la dynamique offertes par les musiciens réunis pour un unique concert. La cinquième est une remarquable pièce de résistance de plus de seize minutes où le groupe crée une succession de courtes miniatures diversifiées séparées clairement et à chaque fois par un instant de silence qui lui fait partie intégrante de la musique. Ces différents mouvements très sont contrastés les uns par rapport aux autres mais avec une réelle cohérence. Se déploient ainsi tout le potentiel sonore du groupe de manière aléatoire.
